Earlier today, Summertown Elementary School was forced to implement emergency procedures after the presence of a gas odor was noticed on the school premises. School authorities reported that at approximately 6:50 AM, a strong smell of gas was detected, prompting an immediate call to 911 and the evacuation of the school. Subsequently, a gas leak was identified and swiftly addressed, although not without causing a notable disruption to the flow of traffic around the school. It is important to note that all incidents took place outside the school building, and the situation is currently under careful observation and supervision.
