Gina Tidwell Harrison, a beloved mother, grandmother, and dedicated nurse, passed away peacefully at her home after a courageous battle with Muscular Sclerosis and Ankylosing Spondylitis. Gina’s greatest joy in life was her family, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and strength.
After graduating with honors from UT Knoxville with a Bachelors Degree in Nursing, Gina dedicated 26 years to various nursing specialties, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of many. She was well-known in Giles County as an LPN Instructor at TN College of Applied Technology and as a compassionate school nurse. Her passion for teaching and caring for others touched the hearts of all who knew her.
Gina’s interests extended beyond her career, as she was an active member of the STARR theater and the Emmaus Community. In retirement, she devoted her time to studying the Bible and discussing her faith with others. She also enjoyed reading and collecting coins, embracing a wide range of interests.
Gina is survived by her loving husband Jon, two sisters, six children, and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and several siblings. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National MS Society or the Giles County Library.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Carr and Erwin Funeral Home, followed by a Memorial Service. Gina’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and her legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire those she touched.
