Governor Bill Lee has officially proclaimed March as “Keep Tennessee Beautiful Month.” This initiative aims to promote environmental stewardship and community pride across the state. On March 6th, a rally and awards luncheon will take place at Dollywood’s HeartSong Lodge & Resort in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM. The event will feature a keynote address by James Lewellen, who is expected to inspire attendees with his insights.
During this gathering, the state will also kick off the Great American Cleanup®, a collaborative effort with Keep America Beautiful. This initiative encourages communities to engage in cleanup and beautification projects. In addition to the cleanup launch, the program will honor recipients of the Leader Against Litter and The Love Where You Live Awards, recognizing individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to keeping Tennessee beautiful.
Furthermore, nine outstanding high school seniors from various regions of the state will be awarded the KTnB Three Grand Divisions Scholarships. These scholarships highlight the commitment to nurturing the next generation of environmental advocates who will lead Tennessee into a more sustainable future.
