Harold Glen McRee, 76, of Goodspring, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2025, at his residence. He was born in Lester, AL on January 8, 1949, to James Leonard and Rena Mae Howard McRee. Harold was a dedicated self-employed electrician, known for his unparalleled work ethic, and was retired from McCree Heating and Plumbing. He was a member of the Pulaski Elks Lodge and a faithful Christian who admired God’s creations through his love of the outdoors, National Parks, antique cars, and trains. Most importantly, he cherished spending time with his family.
Harold is preceded in death by his parents James and Rena Mae McRee, and his brother James Edwin McRee. He is survived by his loving wife Sandra Burgess McRee; daughters Sharon McRee Smith, Leslie McRee Purvis (Joe), and Glynda McRee; grandchildren James Glen McRee-Abernathy and Viktor Andrew Lane; sisters Evelyn McRee Felker (Richard) and Linda McRee Oliver; mother-in-law Marvenelle Burgess; sister-in-law Diane Burgess Aymett; special uncle Tommy McCree; nieces Lisa, Vickie, Sylvia, and Kim; and special fur baby Trumpers. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 4-7pm on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home. On Friday, May 2, 2025, there will be visitation from 12-1pm at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home, followed by a Graveside Service at 2pm in Minor Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Giles County Humane Association.

Harold will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
