Harold Orton, age 82, of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2025, at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, TN. He was the beloved husband of Charlotte Orton for 58 years and a loving father to Kelley Orton Eledge and Mark Orton. Harold was a proud owner of Orton Used Cars & Golf Carts and served his country honorably in the Tennessee Army National Guard.
Harold was a native of Lawrenceburg, TN, and was known for his love of fishing, Tennessee Vols, and Braves baseball. He was preceded in death by his parents, Avery and Elizabeth Miller Orton, his brother William Dale Orton, and his granddaughter, Madison Taylor Eledge.
He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren (Anna, Sinclair, and Alex Eledge), and brother, Bob Orton, along with several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services and interment will be conducted at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens at 11:00 AM on April 9, 2025, with Keith Barnett officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Harold. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
