On Tuesday, September 24th, a regular session of the Lawrence County Commission convened, during which several significant decisions and appointments were made. Shane Eaton was reelected as the Chairman of the Lawrence County Board of Commissioners, reaffirming his leadership role within the county. Additionally, Dave Ray, one of the commissioners, was selected to take on the responsibilities of Pro Tempore for the Lawrence County Legislature, a position that will see him stepping in as needed.
In matters of administration, Brandi Williams received a reappointment as the Director of Accounts & Budget for Lawrence County, ensuring continuity in the county’s financial oversight. Similarly, Charlie Holt was reappointed to serve as the Lawrence County Attorney, a role critical for legal guidance and representation. Kelly Odom also retained her position as the purchasing agent for the county, further solidifying the administrative team.
