Horse Valued at $10,000 Reported Stolen in Loretto

In Lawrence County, authorities are currently looking into the disappearance of a horse that was reported missing from a pasture located on Union Hill Road in Loretto. The last confirmed sighting of the horse occurred around 9 a.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2025. This particular horse, a professionally trained Tennessee Walking Horse, has been appraised at a value of approximately $10,000 by the Tennessee Walking Horse Association.

The horse, affectionately named “Bubba,” is characterized by its brown coat and a distinctive white stripe running down its face. At the time of its disappearance, it was noted that Bubba did not have any visible tags or identifying markers. Interestingly, a halter was discovered lying in the pasture, found unfastened, which raises further questions about the circumstances surrounding the horse’s vanishing.

Authorities are urging anyone who may have information related to this incident to reach out to the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office. The investigation into the matter is ongoing, and officials are keen to gather any leads that could assist in locating Bubba.
