Hudson Family Farm Receives Recognition

In a celebration of agriculture, the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce and the U-T, T-S-U Extension Office, in collaboration with various local agriculture businesses and agencies, are honoring the vital industry this week. As part of the festivities, the Hudson Family Farm was distinguished and lauded with the prestigious Century Farm Award. The farm, which has been in the Hudson family since 1860, is currently managed by Will Hudson.

The Century Farm Award is an annual recognition bestowed upon a farm that has been in the same family and in continuous operation for at least a century. This accolade serves as a testament to the enduring legacy and commitment of farming families like the Hudsons.

In addition to the announcement of the Century Farm Award, the title of the 2024 Agribusiness of the Year was conferred upon Dr. Gary Hill. Dr. Hill, a co-founder of the Large Animal Clinic in Lawrenceburg back in 1984, now independently operates the esteemed establishment. His dedication to the welfare of animals and the community has been a cornerstone of the local agricultural landscape for decades.
