Hulen W. “Hootie” Dickey, 83, of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away peacefully at his home on February 2nd, 2025. Born on June 7th, 1941, Hulen proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He retired from the Lawrenceburg Power System after working as a Lineman for many years. Hulen was a devoted member of the Salem Church of Christ and had a deep love for the Lord. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, watching sports, and spending time with his loving family and friends.
Hulen was preceded in death by his loving wife, Vernell Heard Dickey. He is survived by his children, Nancy Russ (Terry), Sharmon Dial (Soapy), and Stephen Dickey (Deidre); 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brother, Jackie Dickey (Jean), and sister, Betty Collins (Rip).
Visitation will be held at Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 4th, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will begin immediately following the visitation at 12:00 p.m. Interment will be held at Deerfield Cemetery with full Military Honors.
