The Huntsville Police Department’s K-9 officer, Diego, played a crucial role in the capture of a suspect linked to a child rape case. As officers approached the individual, he attempted to escape on foot. However, Diego swiftly intervened and successfully apprehended him. Following his capture, the suspect was taken to a hospital for treatment before being transported to the Madison County Jail. He now faces a series of serious charges, including first-degree rape, first-degree sodomy, enticing a child, third-degree burglary, and possession of marijuana. Additionally, he has been charged with attempting to evade law enforcement and has two outstanding misdemeanor warrants for failing to appear in court.
