A police officer from Huntsville has been honored for her courageous efforts in rescuing a resident who found himself ensnared in floodwaters. According to officials from the Huntsville Police Department, the officer bravely entered waist-deep water to reach the man, who was experiencing severe hypothermia. With the help of a fellow officer, she successfully managed to bring the man to safety. Reports indicate that his core temperature had plummeted to approximately 90 degrees. Authorities have stated that had he stayed in the frigid water for an extended period, the outcome could have been fatal.
