Following an extensive investigation, the Anti-Crime Team of the Huntsville Police Department successfully dismantled a prescription drug operation in both Huntsville and Madison County on Tuesday. This operation culminated in the seizure of approximately $45,000 worth of prescription medications, alongside $72,000 in cash and three firearms. Authorities apprehended 71-year-old Vernon Hereford, a resident of Huntsville, who now faces multiple charges including drug trafficking, possession of a controlled substance, and illegal possession of a firearm as a convicted felon.
