Independence Day: Business Closures and Schedule Adjustments

In recognition of Independence Day, the city offices of Lawrenceburg will be closed on Friday, July 4, 2025. Residents should be aware that the regular residential garbage collection scheduled for that day will instead take place on Thursday, July 3. It is advised that residents place their garbage carts out early on Thursday morning, as this will be a double route day for pickups.

Additionally, all government offices in Lawrence County, including those related to Solid Waste, will also observe the holiday and remain closed on Friday, July 4.

Meanwhile, residents of Pulaski are being informed about modifications to the city’s garbage collection schedule due to the Fourth of July celebrations. The City of Pulaski has made the following adjustments to its collection routes: the garbage route that typically occurs on Thursday will proceed as scheduled on July 4. However, the Friday collection will be postponed until Monday, July 7. The Saturday route will continue as planned, with pickups occurring on Saturday, and Monday’s route will also be serviced on its regular schedule.

City officials encourage residents to have their garbage ready for collection early on Friday morning to prevent any potential delays. The City of Pulaski expresses gratitude for the community’s cooperation and wishes everyone a safe and meaningful Independence Day. Additionally, the Pulaski Electric System will be closed on Friday, July 4, in observance of the holiday.
