On March 16, 2025, a confrontation erupted between Jeremy Benson and Brandon Davis at a local venue in Florence. What began as a verbal disagreement escalated dramatically when Brandon Davis struck Jeremy Benson with a punch. This blow resulted in Benson falling and hitting his head on the concrete surface. Tragically, Jeremy Benson passed away from his injuries on March 21, 2025. In the aftermath of this incident, Brandon Davis has been charged with murder and is currently in custody at the Lauderdale County Detention Center. He is awaiting a hearing under Aniah’s Law and is being held without the possibility of bond.
