On Saturday morning at approximately 7:45, emergency responders were dispatched to a scene in Lawrence County where a vehicle had veered off the Turn Pike. The car plunged down a fifteen-foot embankment and came to rest on its side in a nearby creek. Upon arrival, emergency personnel discovered that one individual was trapped inside the vehicle, necessitating immediate action.
Firefighters worked diligently to partially remove the roof of the car in order to free the victim. Once the individual was extricated, they were promptly transported by the Lawrence County Emergency Medical Service to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for further medical attention. The rescue operation saw collaboration among various agencies, including Lawrence County Fire & Rescue, EMS, and the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department, all of whom played vital roles in ensuring the safety and well-being of the trapped individual.
