A man was taken into custody following a dramatic police pursuit that spanned multiple jurisdictions, beginning in Giles County, Tennessee, and concluding on Interstate 65 in Morgan County, Alabama. The chase unfolded on Friday night, prompting law enforcement agencies to respond as the suspect crossed into Alabama. Local deputies, along with the Ardmore Police Department, quickly mobilized to intercept the fleeing driver near the state border.
The individual in question, identified as Jason Rose, was operating a 3500 dually pickup truck and was observed discarding various items from the vehicle during the high-speed chase. In an effort to halt the vehicle, officers strategically deployed spike strips at several locations throughout Limestone and Morgan counties. The pursuit ultimately came to an end south of the Interstate 65 bridge in Priceville, where Rose was apprehended.
Upon his arrest, law enforcement officials discovered approximately a quarter pound of methamphetamine that had been thrown from the truck during the chase. Rose now faces a series of serious charges, including trafficking methamphetamine, unlawful possession of LSD and marijuana, felony attempting to elude police, tampering with evidence, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is currently being held at the Limestone County Detention Facility, where he awaits a bond hearing. Notably, at the time of this incident, Rose was already out on bond for unrelated charges.
