On the evening of November 24, at around 5:54 p.m., deputies from the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to a trailer fire located in Iron City. Upon their arrival at the scene, the deputies engaged with the property owner, identified as Samantha Atwell. She recounted that she had heard a significant explosion at approximately 5:30 a.m., which was soon followed by the sight of flames engulfing a trailer situated on her property.
This particular trailer, which is owned by Atwell’s daughter, has been unoccupied and lacks both power and running water. Atwell expressed concern, noting that she had not seen her daughter for several days and was perplexed as to why anyone would intentionally set the trailer ablaze. The circumstances surrounding the fire are currently under investigation, as authorities seek to determine the cause and any potential foul play involved.
