Recently, the Executive Committee of the South-Central Tennessee Development District (SCTDD) appointed new officials for the year 2025. During a meeting held to discuss the appointments, Jonah Keltner, who serves as the mayor of Lewis County, was selected to take on the role of Chairman of the Board. In addition, Fayetteville City Mayor Donna Hartman was appointed as Secretary/Treasurer, while Mike Keny, the mayor of Marshall County, was elected to serve as Vice-Chairman.
The swearing-in ceremony for these newly appointed officials took place last month at the SCTDD headquarters located in Mount Pleasant, with Richard Stewart, the Interim Executive Director, officiating the event. The SCTDD was established by the General Assembly in 1972, with a mission focused on promoting economic development, providing essential services, and improving the overall welfare of residents in Southern Middle Tennessee.
