James “J.C.” Nolen, age 88, of Anderson, Alabama, passed away on September 30, 2025. He was born on June 27, 1937, and was known for his unwavering faith and kindness. J.C. was a retired employee of Lawrenceburg Glass in Lawrenceburg, TN, and a devoted member of Centerhill Church of Christ in Greenhill, Alabama.
He is survived by his loving daughters, Amanda Biggers and Ronda Payne, as well as his cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren. J.C. also leaves behind his brother, Charles Nolen, sisters Ann Phillips and Thelma Mercado, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Delphene Nolen, former wife Edith Faye Nolen, and daughter Anita Nolen, as well as his parents, two brothers, and one sister.
A graveside service will be held at Antioch Cemetery next to Antioch Church of Christ in Killen, AL on Friday, October 3 at 1:00, with Minister Greg Swindle officiating. The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Steven Smith and the staff at Maury Regional Medical Center, Tracy Turner and staff at Caris Hospice, and the staff at Lifecare Center for their care and support.
J.C. will be remembered for his love of God, his dedication to his family, and his impact on the lives of those around him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
