January Statistics Released by LCEMS

In January, the Lee County Emergency Medical Services (LCEMS) experienced a notable surge in activity compared to the same period in 2023. The monthly service report for January revealed a substantial increase in requests, with a nearly 28 percent rise in comparison to January 2023. Additionally, the number of transports also saw a significant uptick, registering a 17 percent increase during the same period.

Throughout the month, LCEMS responded to a total of 633 requests and successfully transported 420 patients. In addition to these responses, the team also attended to 63 public assist calls, handled 63 refusal of transport calls, and addressed 13 fire standby, law enforcement assistance, and mutual aid requests. These figures underscore the heightened demand for emergency medical services during the month of January.
