Jo Ann Smith, 86, of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away on December 31, 2024, at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, TN. Jo Ann was a retired employee of Murray Ohio and a devoted member of Salem Church of Christ. She was known for her love of reading the Bible, congregational singing, and her dedication as a faithful servant of God, teaching Bible classes. Jo Ann also enjoyed creating and sending greeting cards, cooking, and working in her yard.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J.C. and Mary Bernice Dixon Wolfe; her husband, Fulton Smith; two sisters, Mary Laura Wolfe Cooper and Martha Joyce Wolfe Belew; and one brother, Kenneth Wolfe. Jo Ann is survived by her daughter, Felecia Riddle Nix (Richard) of Lawrenceburg, TN; son, David Steve Smith (Wendy) of Yuma, TN; three grandchildren, Misty Farnsley of Texas, Jennie Conder of Florida, Scott Smith of Mississippi; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, TN 38464. The funeral service will take place on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Neal Funeral Home.
Jo Ann will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. May she rest in peace.
