Johnny Daniel Griggs, 78, of Pulaski, TN, passed away on March 10, 2025, at his residence. Born on April 25, 1946, in Cornersville, TN, to Pink and Mary Parsons Griggs, Johnny was a devoted member and deacon of Welcome Valley Baptist Church. He was retired from Johnny’s Pool Room. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Pink and Maggie Griggs, his brothers Pink Jr., Raymond, Hudson, Shields, and Clarence, and his sisters Janella, Marzee, Lovelace, and Sarah. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Barnett Griggs, his son Mickey Darrell Griggs, and great-grandchild Rebecca Jones.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Carr and Erwin Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place at 11 am on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Carr and Erwin Funeral Home, followed by interment in Maplewood Cemetery.
Johnny is survived by his wife, Judy Griggs of Pulaski, and his children Mary Jones (Donnie), Sandy Jones (Kenneth), Tammy Cox, Matthew Griggs (Gerika), Jessica Jenkins (Ronnie), Eric Gowan (Michelle), Jeff Gowan (Amanda), Gina Griggs, and Tina Holt (Jason). He is also survived by his sisters Dimple Prentice and LaVert Wilson (Johnny), 23 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and numerous loving nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces.
Johnny will be dearly missed by all who knew him, and his memory will live on in the hearts of his loved ones.
