Joyce Millinea Shelton, age 92, of Killen, AL, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at her home after an extended illness. She was a native of Lauderdale County, AL, and a retired employee of Florence Knitting Mill. A graveside service will be held at Shiloh Cemetery on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at 11:00 am, with Chris Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery.
She is survived by her son, Michael Jones of Killen, AL, daughter-in-law Kathy Jones of Florence, AL, grandchildren Chris Jones (Brandy), Gena Keeton (Kyle), Tiffany Alexander (Elliott), great-grandchildren Braxton Jones, Eli Jones, Kayla Keeton, Connor Keeton, Parker Kondritz, Jolie Alexander, and Mae Kate Alexander, as well as great-great-grandchildren Kayland Elkins, Norah Elkins, and Ruben Alcala.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, William Hanserd Shelton, her parents Clarence and Vaudie Eddie Pettus, and her son Larry Jones.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at Shiloh Cemetery to honor and remember Joyce. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
