Judith Hutton, a devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and a loving great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, surrounded by her family and love. She was a woman of deep Christian faith whose life reflected God’s grace, compassion, and quiet strength. Judith was a member of First Baptist Church for 78 years and was currently an active member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She was a retired employee of Lawrenceburg Utility System.
Known for her gentle spirit and poised presence, Judith carried herself with dignity and warmth. She had a heart for serving others, always offering kindness, encouragement, and prayer to anyone in need. Her love for God guided every part of her life, and she found great joy in worshiping fellowship, singing, and living out her faith daily.
As a mother, Judith was nurturing, steadfast, and selfless, always placing her family above herself. As a grandmother and great-grandmother (lovingly known as Maw Maw), she was a source of endless love, wisdom, and comfort, creating memories that will be treasured for generations. Her home was filled with laughter, faith, and unconditional love always.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marshall and Pearl Phillips Davis; her son, Steve Hutton; special niece, Melba Parks; and two sisters, Margaret Morris and Doris Mobbs.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years, George Hutton of Lawrenceburg, TN; one daughter, Laura Hutton Fisher of Lawrenceburg, TN; three grandchildren, Jessica Mashburn (Lee) of Lawrenceburg, TN, Andrew Fisher (Kendall) of Lawrenceburg, TN, and Dustin Hutton (Layla) of Loretto, TN; three great-grandchildren, Mia Mashburn, Reed Mashburn, and Cole Mashburn; several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM Sunday, December 21, 2025, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 3:00 PM Sunday, December 21, 2025, with Reggie Coleman and Keith Durham officiating. Interment will follow at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg, TN. The family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Condolences may be sent by way of
