Judy Jex

Judy Jex, a beloved resident of Cullman, Alabama, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of strength, service, and love. Judy’s life was a testament to the power of hard work and compassion, which she learned from her upbringing in Cullman. Her nurturing spirit was evident in her beautiful garden, which mirrored the care she poured into every aspect of her life.

A devoted disciple of Jesus Christ, Judy lived out her faith through her actions, teaching life’s lessons with humility and wit. Her unwavering moral compass and steady guidance made her a source of strength and wisdom for her family, friends, and even strangers.

Judy is survived by her mother, Joyce Gaskill; brother, Jody Martin; her children Brianna (Cori) McGarvin, Hali Jex, Kelsey (Makade) Archibald, Zachary Jex, and Machaela Pirtle; and ten adoring grandchildren who will forever cherish her thoughtful gifts, life lessons, and bedtime stories.

A memorial celebrating Judy’s life will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Florence, Alabama. All who were touched by Judy’s selfless love are welcome to attend and honor her enduring example.

Though Judy’s hands now rest, her spirit of quiet strength and boundless giving will continue to bloom in the hearts of all she touched. Her influence will be everlasting, and her legacy of faith, courage, and kindness will flourish for generations to come. Judy’s place in our hearts is irreplaceable, and she will be deeply missed.
