Kenneth Earl King

Kenneth Earl King, 91, passed away on Wednesday, March 12 at Madison Manor in Huntsville. He was a retired employee of Murray Ohio Manufacturing company and a devoted member of Mt Zion Baptist Church in Huntsville. Kenneth was also a former member of Blue Water Missionary Baptist Church in Loretto, TN, where he served as a deacon for many years.

Kenneth was known for his love of Braves Baseball, his wife’s cooking, and his passion for Country/Bluegrass Music and Southern Gospel. He enjoyed playing the Guitar or Mandolin at family gatherings, where members of the family would sing along. He had a fondness for baked sweet potatoes, ribs, and pecan pie.

He cherished his family, especially his wife of 69 years, Annie Adell King, and his two grandsons, Ben and Sam King. Kenneth was an avid supporter of his grandsons, attending many of their baseball games when they were younger. He is survived by his son Terry (Sherry) King, grandsons Sam (fiancee Emma Sanders), Ben King, step-grandson Brandon (Shelly) Catron, step-granddaughter Tiffany (Brad) Neely, and three great-grandchildren.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his loving wife, Annie Adell Roberts King, his parents George and Lura King, and his brother Tonis King.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 17 from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon at Loretto Memorial Chapel, followed by a funeral at 12:00 noon with burial at Blue Water Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Dr. Kevin Moore will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Blue Water Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery Fund or Mt. Zion Baptist Church Music Ministry.

Kenneth will be remembered for his reliability, respect, and love for his family, as well as his unwavering faith. He has now joined his beloved wife and Savior in their Heavenly Mansion.
