Knox embarked on her law enforcement journey with the department in 1972, dedicating over three decades of service until her initial retirement in 2004. Following a period working in security at Browns Ferry, she made a notable return to the sheriff’s office in 2021. Throughout her distinguished career, Knox had the unique experience of serving under seven different sheriffs in Lauderdale County, marking her as a significant figure in the department’s evolution.
