On November 20th, agents from the Lauderdale County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at a residence situated along Highway 20 in Waterloo. This operation was prompted by intelligence indicating that one of the occupants was involved in drug trafficking activities. The Florence/Lauderdale Special Operations Team was responsible for entering the premises, where several individuals were present at the time.
During the thorough search of the property, law enforcement officials uncovered a substantial amount of illegal substances, including over two pounds of methamphetamine, commonly referred to as ICE, crack cocaine, marijuana, synthetic marijuana known as spice, and various items associated with drug use and distribution. The total estimated street value of the seized methamphetamine and other drugs is approximately $10,000.
As a result of this operation, four individuals were taken into custody. The arrested individuals include 64-year-old Dawn Marie Ford, 34-year-old Brittney Lashay Miller, 36-year-old Joshua Randell Keeton, and another 64-year-old, Bridgett Arlene Thompson, all hailing from Florence. This investigation was a collaborative effort, with significant support provided by the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office, the Florence/Lauderdale Special Operations Team, the Lauderdale County District Attorney’s Office, and the Florence Police Department, all working in conjunction with the Lauderdale County Drug Task Force.
