On Saturday, September 13, deputies from Lawrence County were dispatched to investigate a report of theft that occurred on Cummings Road. A local woman informed authorities that two hay rings had been taken from her property.
The theft came to her attention when she noticed her cows lying on the hay she had distributed earlier in the week. She last saw the hay rings on Tuesday, September 9, and her neighbors reported that they had not witnessed any unusual activity in the area during that time.
