**Lawrence County Board of Education Meeting Agenda**

The meeting will commence with the recognition of the LCSS Character Trait, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance and a roll call of board members. A special acknowledgment will be given to the Summertown High School Tennis Team for their achievements.
Public comments will be welcomed, allowing community members to voice their thoughts and concerns. Following this, the board will move into the consent agenda, which includes several items that will be voted on collectively through a voice vote. These items consist of the adoption of the meeting agenda, approval of the minutes from the previous meeting held on October 23, 2025, and the business report. Additionally, the board will consider the approval of volunteers and several overnight field trips for various schools.
The proposed overnight trips include the SLS Junior Beta Convention in Nashville, TN, scheduled for November 23-25, 2025, and a trip for 5th to 7th graders from LES to Washington D.C. from March 7-12, 2026, and again from May 23-28, 2026. Furthermore, a trip for 7th and 8th graders from LES to Niagara Falls, Boston, Salem, and Plymouth is planned for June 1-6, 2026. Lawrence County High School will also seek approval for a storage building, while the City of Lawrenceburg Baseball Fields will request lighting improvements.
In the budget discussion segment, the board will review and vote on the budget calendar for the 2026-2027 school year, along with proposals for a walking track at Leoma Elementary School and a storage building at Lawrence County High School.
The meeting will also address various policy items that require consideration and discussion. These include updates to fiscal management goals, the annual operating budget, eligibility for state and federal aid, and guidelines for student fundraising activities. Other policies under review will cover the management of student activity funds, vendor relations, and leave policies for staff.
Additional items for consideration will include requests for early graduation and the transfer of land at North Brace Road to the county.
