According to the Lawrence County Emergency Management Agency, the arrival of spring, particularly the month of April, marks a peak period for severe weather in the region. To prepare for the potential storms, the agency is offering a Skywarn Storm Spotter Training session on Tuesday, April 1st, starting at 6:00 PM. This informative event will take place at the Lawrence County Emergency Operations Center, situated at 25 Public Square.

The training session, which will last for two hours, will be led by experienced personnel from the EMA, along with Barry Roberts, a veteran Skywarn spotter from Lawrence County.
