On the evening of December 11th, at around 5:33 PM, emergency services in Lawrence County were alerted to a serious motor vehicle accident occurring at the intersection of Highway 43 South and Lambs Ferry Road. Upon arrival, the first responders from Lawrence County Fire Rescue (LCFR) discovered a two-car collision that had resulted in significant damage to both vehicles.
One individual was found trapped inside one of the cars, prompting the fire units to initiate the extrication process while simultaneously providing medical assistance. Shortly thereafter, Lawrence County EMS arrived on the scene to take over patient care responsibilities. In response to the severity of the situation, two air medical helicopters were dispatched to facilitate the transport of the injured individual to a medical facility for further treatment.
The scene was effectively managed, and by 7:41 PM, the roadway was cleared and reopened to traffic. The Tennessee Highway Patrol took charge of the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash. Assistance was also provided by the Lawrence County Emergency Management Agency, with support from LCFR stations located in Leoma, Center Point, and Crossroads.
