Lawrence County Fire Rescue Handles Over 22 Emergency Calls This Week

This week, Lawrence County Fire Rescue has been actively engaged, responding to a total of 22 service calls. Among these incidents were a range of emergencies, including a hazardous materials situation, multiple vehicle fires, and motor vehicle accidents that resulted in injuries. One notable incident involved a crash that necessitated the extrication of individuals from two vehicles.

In addition to these emergencies, the fire rescue team also dealt with fire alarm and carbon monoxide activations, as well as high-priority medical calls and grass fires. During one of the vehicle fire incidents earlier in the week, a small rescue truck was the first to arrive on the scene. The crew quickly initiated firefighting efforts using a compressed air foam system. Shortly thereafter, an engine company arrived to provide additional support in combating the flames.
