On October 22nd, Lawrence County Fire Rescue marks a significant milestone, celebrating a decade since the inception of their Emergency Medical Response Program. This initiative began with the graduation of the first-ever Emergency Medical Responder Class on October 16th, 2014. Just days later, on October 22nd, the newly trained responders joined the ranks of licensed Emergency Medical Personnel within the organization, ready to deliver vital medical assistance to those in need throughout the community.
Since its launch, the Emergency Medical Response Program has proven to be an invaluable asset, providing critical care and support to countless individuals. Over the years, the program has expanded, with the most recent cohort of Emergency Medical Responders completing their training less than two months ago. This growth reflects the ongoing commitment to enhancing emergency medical services in the area.
The success of this program is a result of a collaborative effort between Lawrence County Fire Rescue and Lawrence County EMS. The dedication and belief of all those involved in establishing and nurturing this initiative have made a profound impact on the community. As they celebrate this important anniversary, gratitude is extended to everyone who contributed to the program’s development and success in Lawrence County.
