Lawrence County Fire Rescue experienced a particularly busy weekend, handling a total of 12 emergency calls within a 24-hour timeframe that covered both Saturday and Sunday. The nature of these calls varied significantly, encompassing both fire-related incidents and medical emergencies.
Among the incidents reported, crews worked diligently to combat a structure fire, as well as a fire involving a camper or trailer. Additionally, firefighters responded to a brush fire and attended to a residential fire alarm that had been triggered. The range of emergencies did not stop there; emergency responders were also called to the scene of two vehicle accidents that resulted in injuries, alongside two cases of cardiac arrest and two other urgent medical situations that required immediate attention.
To further illustrate the extent of their efforts during this hectic period, firefighters also managed a natural gas line rupture and provided essential traffic control support for another agency involved in the response. This weekend’s events highlight the dedication and readiness of the Lawrence County Fire Rescue team in addressing a variety of emergencies within the community.
