In a recent announcement from the Lawrence County School System, Mr. Michael Adkins, the Director of Schools, has revealed that Jonathon Brashier will be taking on the role of Assistant Principal at Ingram Sowell Elementary School. Mr. Brashier brings with him an impressive background, having dedicated thirteen of his fourteen years in education to the Lawrence County Schools, where he has made a positive impact on both students and their families.
His educational journey began at Centennial Elementary in Dickson, Tennessee, where he started as a teacher. In 2012, he transitioned to Ethridge Elementary, serving as a special education teacher. Most recently, he held the position of Dean of Students at Summertown Elementary, where he played a pivotal role in creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for both students and staff.
Mr. Brashier holds an Educational Specialist degree from Arkansas State University and a Master of Education from Belmont University. Throughout his career, he has been fortunate to work under several exceptional administrators, whose guidance he credits as a vital part of his professional growth. He expresses great joy in serving the Lawrence County community and is passionate about building strong connections with students, families, and colleagues.
As he embarks on this new chapter in his career, Mr. Brashier is eager to collaborate with the dedicated staff at Ingram Sowell Elementary to support student success and advance the school’s mission. Notably, he is the fourth individual from the Dean of Students program to ascend to the position of assistant principal, highlighting the program’s effectiveness in preparing future educational leaders.
