Lawrence County Schools has officially appointed Arleigh Bryant as the new Assistant Principal of Leoma Elementary School. With an impressive 19 years of experience in education, Bryant has dedicated the majority of her career to teaching high school subjects, including Pre-Algebra, Algebra I and II, ACT Preparation, Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus, Chemistry, and Honors Chemistry. For the past 18 years, she has been a vital part of the high school teaching staff, and most recently, she served as the Dean of Students at Leoma Elementary.
Throughout her career, Mrs. Bryant has taken on numerous leadership roles. She has contributed to the athletic programs as an assistant softball coach at Lawrence County High School and as an assistant basketball coach at both Columbia Central and Lawrence County High Schools. Her academic credentials are equally impressive; she earned her Bachelor of Science in Multidisciplinary Studies from Tennessee Technological University in 2006, followed by a Master of Arts in Mathematics from Western Kentucky University in 2013. Most recently, she completed her Education Specialist degree in Administration and Supervision at Middle Tennessee State University in 2023.
Residing in Lawrence County with her husband, McClane, and their three children—Mick, Keegan, and Tiffin—Mrs. Bryant expressed her gratitude for her previous role as Dean of Students. She stated, “I am thankful for the time I was able to spend as Dean of Students at Leoma Elementary School and am grateful and excited for the opportunity to become the Assistant Principal. I look forward to continuing to work alongside our administration, faculty, and staff to help students succeed.”
