Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department Executes Arrest Warrant, Leading to Drug-Related Arrest

On Wednesday, March 19th, the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department executed an arrest warrant at a residence. Upon their arrival, officers proceeded to the rear of the house, where they believed the suspect was located in an adjoining room. The door to this room was already ajar, allowing law enforcement to quickly identify the suspect, who was accompanied by a female.

As the officers entered the bedroom, they found the male suspect, identified as Clinton Neal, standing near the bed with a knife in his hand. Officers immediately instructed him to drop the weapon and place his hands on his head. Meanwhile, the female present in the room, later identified as Susan Mason, appeared to act suspiciously, attempting to conceal an object in her hand among various items on the bed.

Following Neal’s apprehension, he was taken into custody without incident. Officers then turned their attention to Mason, conducting a search and questioning her outside the residence. During this process, they discovered multiple glass pipes associated with narcotics on the bed and on the dresser. Further investigation of the area where Mason had tried to hide an object led to the discovery of a small bag containing a white crystal-like substance.

As a result of these findings, Mason was arrested and charged with Simple Possession of Methamphetamine and possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Meanwhile, Neal faced arrest due to seven outstanding warrants from Lawrence County. Both individuals were subsequently transported to the Lawrence County Jail for processing.
