Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department Investigates Burglary Incident

On Wednesday, June 11th, the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department was alerted to a burglary incident at the Highway 43 North Storage Units. The report was initiated by an individual who had been contacted by the owner of the storage facility on Monday, June 9th. The owner had discovered that the lock on one of the units was not properly secured, prompting him to take immediate action by locking it to ensure its safety.

Due to prior commitments, the individual who reported the incident was unable to inspect the unit until two days later, which is when he discovered that several items were missing. Among the stolen goods were various power tools and hand tools. The individual mentioned that he had last accessed the storage unit approximately a week before he filed the report. At the time of the report, he was still in the process of compiling a comprehensive list of the missing items, indicating that he would provide this information at a later date.

The management of the Highway 43 Storage Units confirmed that they have security cameras in place and assured the individual that they were in the process of reviewing the surveillance footage. They promised to keep him updated on any relevant findings that could assist in the investigation.
