Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office Reports for March

The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office has published its monthly report for March, detailing a range of activities and responses by deputies throughout the month. According to the data, law enforcement officials handled a total of 1,187 calls for service, which encompassed both proactive measures and reactive responses to incidents. This extensive engagement led to the arrest of 191 individuals.

In addition to these arrests, deputies conducted 161 traffic stops, reflecting their commitment to road safety and law enforcement. The office also managed 267 civil processes, which are essential for upholding legal proceedings. Notably, deputies provided 25 funeral escorts, ensuring that families could mourn their loved ones with dignity and safety.

The report highlights the challenges faced by law enforcement, with 27 calls related to domestic violence, 12 incidents of vandalism, and 30 burglar alarms indicating a range of community concerns. Furthermore, deputies responded to 43 animal-related calls, 10 reports of fraud, and 29 instances of suspicious persons or activities.
