The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office has published its monthly report for May, revealing a comprehensive overview of law enforcement activities in the area. During this period, deputies answered a total of 1,163 calls for service, which encompassed both proactive measures and reactive responses to incidents. This extensive engagement led to the arrest of 250 individuals.
In addition to the arrests, deputies conducted 159 traffic stops throughout the month. The department also managed a variety of civil processes, totaling 359, and provided 27 funeral escorts to assist families during their times of need. Domestic violence incidents accounted for 21 calls, while there were 9 reports of vandalism and 24 burglar alarms triggered.
Animal-related issues prompted 53 calls, and the department dealt with 27 cases of fraud. Officers also investigated 37 reports of suspicious persons or activities and recorded 23 theft incidents. Furthermore, deputies responded to 36 traffic crashes, highlighting the ongoing commitment of the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office to maintain public safety and order in the community.
