Lawrence County Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition Releases 2024 Achievement Data

The Lawrence County Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition has unveiled its achievement statistics for the year 2024, highlighting significant outreach and support efforts within the community. A remarkable total of 320,000 individuals from Lawrence County and the surrounding Region 5 South engaged with the coalition through various prevention initiatives and resource connection activities.

In addition to these interactions, the coalition successfully distributed educational materials focused on prevention, resource connection tools, and prescription drug lockboxes, reaching an impressive 50,800 residents of Lawrence County. The impact of the coalition’s Drug Endangerment Children’s Program was also notable, as it provided assistance to 2,350 families in need.

Furthermore, the Region 5 South Hybrid Online Program facilitated connections to treatment and recovery services for 270 individuals, demonstrating the coalition’s commitment to supporting those on their path to recovery. The coalition’s staff and volunteers were actively involved in organizing or participating in a total of 74 events, further enhancing community engagement and awareness.
