The Lawrenceburg Street Department is actively engaged in a significant roadway project aimed at potentially linking Springer Road to Good Hope Road. Currently, the department is focused on constructing a half-mile segment that begins at Good Hope Road, while plans for the remaining 0.7 miles leading to Mattoxtown are still in the planning stages. City officials are optimistic about completing these developments within the next year.
In a related effort, the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) is working on extending Motivation Drive. This extension will connect the road from its current intersection with W.O. Smith Road, located in the industrial park, to Buffalo Road. The new two-lane road will include a bridge that spans over Little Shoal Creek and Mt. Ararat Road. According to TDOT spokesperson Brock Vaughn, the anticipated completion date for this project is set for the end of August 2025. This new route will provide an additional access point to the industrial park, enhancing connectivity in the area.
