Lawrence Fire Departments Awarded Grant Funding

On Friday, fire departments throughout Lawrence County were awarded significant grant funding from the Tennessee State Fire Marshal’s Office. This initiative aimed to bolster the resources available to volunteer fire departments and rescue squads that serve not only Lawrence County but also the surrounding areas of Maury, Giles, Perry, Wayne, and Hickman counties.

In total, the fire departments in Lawrence County received an impressive sum exceeding $492,000. During the event, representatives from various local fire departments were present to accept their checks. The recipients included the Centerpoint, Crossroads, Ethridge, Gandy, Henryville, Iron City, Leoma, Loretto, Southeast, Summertown, and West End Volunteer Fire Departments. This funding is expected to enhance their operational capabilities and improve community safety.
