Lawrenceburg City Council Holds Regular Meeting on July 24, 2025

In a meeting held on Thursday morning, the Lawrenceburg City Council took a moment to honor the Cal Ripken 10U All-Star baseball team for their remarkable achievement this season, culminating in their title as State Champions. The council members expressed their admiration and appreciation for the dedication and effort displayed by both the players and their coaches throughout the season.

Pam Hyde, the Director of Parks and Recreation, took the opportunity to share several upcoming initiatives aimed at enhancing community engagement and facilities. She detailed plans for improvements at Bobby Brewer Park, which will include upgrades to existing facilities and the introduction of new batting cages designed to foster youth athletics. Hyde also reminded attendees that registration for local youth sports is currently open, encouraging families to participate and support these programs.

In addition to these updates, Hyde announced an exciting new event called “Night Swim” that will be hosted at Rotary Pool. She conveyed her enthusiasm about the potential community interest in this initiative. Furthermore, she reported on the tremendous success of the 2025 James D. Vaughan Quartet Festival, which not only attracted a large audience but also received positive feedback from attendees.
