The Lawrenceburg City Council is scheduled to convene on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at 9:00 AM. The meeting will take place in the Council Meeting Room, situated within the Municipal Complex at 25 Public Square. Individuals who wish to speak on the agenda items listed below are required to sign in before the meeting commences.
One of the key items on the agenda is a public hearing regarding Ordinance 1446. This ordinance seeks to amend Ordinance Number 789, which is known as the “Zoning Ordinance of the City of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.” The proposed amendment is presented by the Board of Mayor and Council of Lawrenceburg, a municipal corporation governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee.
According to Section I of the ordinance, the Planning Commission of Lawrenceburg has provided a favorable recommendation, contingent upon staff approval of a proposed minor plat. This amendment involves rezoning property owned by the Hughes Living Trust, located on the south side of Gallaher Street, from C-3 (General Commercial District) to R-2 (Low Density Residential). The purpose of this rezoning is to facilitate the subdivision of the lot into two separate lots, one of which will have less than 75 feet of road frontage, allowing for the construction of single-family residences. This matter will be presented for a second reading.
In addition to the public hearing, several resolutions will be discussed during the meeting. One resolution pertains to an agreement with Impact Pyro for a fireworks display scheduled for July 4th. Another resolution involves entering into a Master Services Agreement for professional surveying services with Cleghorn Land Surveying, which will serve as an on-call surveying service on a per-project basis.
Furthermore, the council will consider similar Master Services Agreements for professional surveying services with Johnson and Associates, as well as Bridgepoint LLC, both of which will also provide on-call services as needed for specific projects.
Additionally, there is a resolution to approve a lease agreement between the City of Lawrenceburg Board of Mayor and Council and Evers Construction Company, Inc. for property located at 306 Seventh Street, identified as Parcel 078K E 021.00. Lastly, the council will address a resolution to declare certain property within the Police Department as surplus.
This meeting presents an opportunity for community members to engage with local governance and contribute to discussions on important municipal matters.
