The Lawrenceburg City Council is scheduled to convene on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at 9:00 AM. The meeting will take place in the Council Meeting Room situated within the Municipal Complex, which is located at 25 Public Square. Among the items on the agenda is Ordinance No. 1447, which proposes amendments to previous ordinances numbered 886, 941, 1034, 1038, 1160, and 1298. This ordinance seeks to revise Title 17, Chapter 1 of the Lawrenceburg Municipal Code, specifically addressing “Refuse and Trash Disposal.” The amendments include adjustments to the service fees associated with the collection and removal of refuse, trash, garbage, and other materials. This will be presented for its first reading during the meeting.
Another significant item is Ordinance No. 1448, which aims to amend Ordinance Number 789, known as the “Zoning Ordinance of the City of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.” This amendment is being put forth following a favorable recommendation from the Planning Commission. It proposes to rezone a portion of property owned by the John P. Sharp Family Trust, located on Flatwoods Road, from R-1 (Large Lot Residential District) to I-1 (Light Industrial). This ordinance will also be introduced for its first reading.
In addition to the ordinances, several resolutions will be discussed. One resolution involves entering into an agreement with SportsGrass USA for the installation of turf at six baseball fields within and adjacent to Bobby Brewer Park. Another resolution seeks to establish a partnership with Musco Lighting for the installation of lighting at both the Babe Ruth and high school baseball fields.
Furthermore, the council will consider a resolution to approve a lease agreement between the City of Lawrenceburg Board of Mayor and Council and Evers Construction Company, Inc. for property located at 306 Seventh Street, identified as Parcel 078K E021.00. Lastly, there will be a resolution regarding the second amendment to the development agreement for the Good Hope Subdivision, involving LUS and Calara.
