The Lawrenceburg City Council is scheduled to convene for its Regular Session at 9:00 AM on Wednesday, January 8, 2026. This meeting will take place in the Council Meeting Room located within the Lawrenceburg Municipal Complex. Individuals who wish to speak to the Council regarding any items on the agenda are required to sign in before the meeting begins.
The agenda for the session includes a public hearing as well as several ordinances and resolutions. One of the key items on the agenda is Ordinance 1448.
Among the ordinances up for discussion is Ordinance No. 1447, which proposes amendments to several existing ordinances—specifically, Ordinances 886, 941, 1034, 1038, 1160, and 1298. This amendment aims to update Title 17, Chapter 1 of the Municipal Code, focusing on the fees associated with refuse and trash disposal services. This will be presented for its second reading.
Additionally, Ordinance No. 1448 seeks to amend Ordinance 789, known as the “Zoning Ordinance of the City of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.” This amendment involves the rezoning of a section of the John P. Sharp Family Trust property located on Flatwoods Road, changing its designation from R-1 (Large Lot Residential) to I-1 (Light Industrial). This ordinance will also be presented for its second reading.
The agenda further includes resolutions that authorize the acquisition of a 2025 Ford Interceptor Utility AWD vehicle from Lonnie Cobb Ford, based in Henderson, Tennessee. Lastly, there will be a resolution to declare certain property from the Police Department as surplus.
All members of the community are encouraged to attend and participate in the discussions.
