Lawrenceburg Fire Department Handles 198 Emergency Calls in July

In July 2025, the Lawrenceburg Fire Department reported a total of 198 service calls, reflecting a significant demand for their emergency response capabilities. This month marked a notable increase in overlapping incidents, with 39 calls occurring simultaneously, presenting a growing challenge for the department’s first responders.

The majority of the calls, totaling 121, were medical responses, underscoring the critical role that emergency medical services play in the community. In addition to medical emergencies, the department dealt with a variety of other incidents, including nine vehicle accidents and five hazardous conditions. There were also 27 instances categorized as false alarms or good intent calls, which can often divert resources from more urgent situations. Furthermore, the department responded to two structure fires, two rescues, and two weather-related incidents during the month.

The department’s activities in July also included a range of additional incidents. These comprised one automatic aid structure fire, one vehicle fire, and one brush or rubbish fire. Additionally, firefighters provided assistance to citizens on 26 occasions and conducted one drone operation.

Fire officials in Lawrenceburg have highlighted the increasing significance of monitoring overlapping calls, as these incidents place heightened demands on both personnel and available resources. As the volume of calls continues to rise, the department remains committed to ensuring a swift and effective emergency response throughout the city.
