Lawrenceburg Rotary Club and Members Honored at District Conference

The Lawrenceburg Rotary Club achieved significant recognition during the Rotary District 6760 Conference, which took place on June 7, 2025, in Paris, Tennessee. This event served as a platform to honor the club’s extensive contributions to various facets of Rotary service and communication. Among the accolades received, the club was presented with the esteemed Five Avenues of Service Award, which acknowledges exceptional efforts in Club, Vocational, Community, International, and Youth Service initiatives.

In addition to this prestigious award, the Lawrenceburg Rotary Club was recognized as the 2023/24 Large Club of the Year, earning the Premier Club Award for its outstanding performance. The club’s longstanding commitment to the Middle Tennessee District Fair was also acknowledged with the High Visibility Project Award. Furthermore, the club’s efforts in international service, particularly its initiatives in Honduras, garnered the International Avenue of Service Award. The club’s dedication to transparency and member engagement was highlighted through the Best Newsletter for a Large Club Award.

Several individual members of the Lawrenceburg Rotary were also celebrated for their remarkable contributions. Rotarian Stacie Odeneal received the Making Dust Award, a special honor recognizing her relentless service in various capacities throughout the district. Rotarian Bill Phillips was awarded the Distinguished Service Award for his long-standing role as the District Awards Chair. Additionally, Phillips was honored with The Rotary Foundation’s Citation for Meritorious Service, one of the highest accolades bestowed by Rotary International for significant contributions to The Rotary Foundation and its mission.

The conference featured discussions led by club members, including Rotarian Tiffany Cope, who participated in a five-member panel focused on the role of women in Rotary. Stacie Odeneal also contributed to the dialogue by addressing mental health issues and community engagement. Bill Phillips played a key role in facilitating the district’s annual awards presentation session. Rotary President Elect Maria Santini was recognized for her completion of the District’s Rotary Grad School, further showcasing the club’s commitment to leadership development.

Representing the Lawrenceburg Rotary Club were Club President John Johnstone and Past District Governor Jim Johnston. Accompanying them was Columbia Rotarian Marilyn Johnston, who received the District’s Spouse Partner Award. The achievements of the Lawrenceburg Rotary Club at the District Conference underscore the strength of its members and the vital community partnerships that drive its mission. The club remains a shining example of service, leadership, and dedication to the Rotary motto: Service Above Self.
